Frequently asked questions
Which Wevision microscope should I choose?
Choose the M2 for an approachable monocular kit suited to students, families, classrooms, and hobbyists. Choose the M1 when binocular viewing, a mechanical X-Y stage, coaxial fine focus, an Abbe condenser, and a 100X achromatic objective match your needs. The Wevision lineup is growing, with more microscope models coming soon. Check back for new options.
What is the difference between the Wevision M1 and M2?
The M2 is a 40X–2000X monocular kit with a smartphone adapter, dual LED illumination, and experiment supplies. The M1 is a 40X–2500X binocular model with four achromatic objectives, a mechanical stage, an Abbe condenser, and coaxial coarse and fine focus.
How is total microscope magnification calculated?
Multiply the eyepiece magnification by the objective magnification. A 10X eyepiece with a 40X objective provides 400X total magnification. More magnification does not automatically mean more resolved detail.
Does the M2 include a smartphone adapter?
Yes. The M2 listing includes a smartphone adapter for aligning a phone camera with the eyepiece to capture observations.
Can the M2 run without a wall outlet?
The M2 listing describes cord-or-battery power. Check the included instructions and current marketplace listing for battery requirements.
What comes with the M1?
The M1 listing includes WF10X and WF25X eyepieces, slides and cover slips, immersion oil, a dust cover, lens paper, and a carrying case. Confirm the current listing for the latest package contents.
How should I begin focusing a specimen?
Start with the lowest-power objective, center the specimen, use coarse focus to find the image, then refine it with fine focus. Use fine focus at higher powers and avoid driving the objective into the slide.
How should microscope lenses be cleaned?
Remove loose dust gently and use only lens paper or an optical-lens cleaning method recommended in the product instructions. Do not use household tissue or touch optical surfaces with your fingers.
Where can I get setup or troubleshooting help?
Visit the Wevision support page or email support@wevision.online with your model, order marketplace, a description of the issue, and clear photos when relevant.
How are purchases, returns, and warranties handled?
Purchases made through Amazon are subject to the current marketplace order and return process. For warranty information and product-specific assistance, use the Wevision company and support pages.
Are Wevision microscopes medical diagnostic devices?
Wevision microscopes are high-quality, advanced compound microscopes designed for detailed observation by laboratories, educators, students, veterinary professionals, animal-care and pet communities, and other experienced users. They can support medical or veterinary laboratory workflows when qualified professionals determine that the model and method are appropriate. Any diagnosis should follow validated procedures and applicable requirements and use equipment authorized for the specific diagnostic purpose.
